THE END IS NEAR!

Whew! We've made it! Our final phase of the 2008-09 Teacher Training is Sunday, March 29. We will meet 10 am-2 pm at Pilates on Highland. Laura will be administering the written evaluation. Please bring your grid summary of hours and any homework that has not been turned in.

Asana Cards
Create an asana card as describes in your notebook for each of the asana on the syllabus. Use several different sources to gather your information. Be sure the paper weight is sturdy, as these will serve as personal reference cards in the future. Remember: an asana card for every posture on each syllabus list is required with your papers at final evaluation.

Philosophy/Journaling Homework
Please write a paragraph or two about why you practice yoga and why you are interested in this program.
Please write a paragraph or two about your perceptions as a child and how those perceptions have (or haven’t) changed in adulthood (pick any subject…eg……..relationships, nature, God, self-image…etc.)

Briefly describe the 8 limb path of Ashtanga Yoga.

Who was Patanjali?

List the 5 elements of the Yamas.

List the 5 elements of the Niyamas.

List and briefly define some of the paths of yoga as taught by Krishnamacharya.
